Anyone having trouble posting pictures? I have posted in the past, but now when I attempt to post, it won't work. When I click on the icon to post, a different window comes up. Just curious.

Computer, phone or tablet?
Operating system?
Browser?

It's selective.

It may be a PC system thing. Posting seems selective...some can....I cannot, haven't been able to post in many months. I have not been able to isolate why though....I was able to post from the same PC system previously...but cannot post now. My system is a Windows 7.

I am running windows 7 on a laptop using explorer for the 'net. Like you, Tieball, I was able to post several month's ago, but lately, it just won't work. I wonder if it is a Windows issue? Seems like it did a massive update a while back.

I'm running windows 7 and have no problem posting pics...using firefox as browser, haven't tested others.

Edit...oops, I just realized I'm running vista, not 7...sorry for any confusion.

Could be...

Could be. You have a good point with that update awhile back. I use IE for my browser. I don't recall when that update happened....however...I try to post photos at least once a month to check if it's possible....have not had any luck this year. So....I just look at photo's from others. Maybe one of these days I'll spring for a new Windows 8 PC....and see what happens then. I've been thinking that it has just been my PC that is the problem.

Actually, my upgrade to a windows 8 system with IE was when my issues started. I downloaded firefox and use it when I upload pics now.

Update: I installed Google Chrome and used it, and I can now post pictures. It must have been something with the last Windows update. Thanks for all of the replies.

I purchased a Mac before the conversion to Windows 7. Since then I got to use Windows 7 with my Grandson's computer when I was trying to fix it. I have to tell you that it is absolutely the worst computer program I have ever had my hands on. It makes MS Dos and Windows 3.1 look like improvements.

Internet Explorer is intergrated into the "core" of Windows operating system. "Uncle Bill" spent a couple of years in court trying to explain why it could not be removed. I think it was NetScape crying it was not fair to the market and took MS to court. In the end they did not have to remove it. So although FireFox, Google Chrome may work for some sites, it is best to stay with Internet Explorer.. just my opinion, if you like the others that is fine too. I say the above to explain what you may be seeing with the "update" mentioned. In the past when MS did updates it would Pause and ask to do a Interent Explorer update, because it is/was such a big part of the OS. A few months ago they updated from IE 9 to IE 10 without asking if you wanted it or not. And if you go look at the "Help" about you will see a check in the box to auto install any future IE versions. It caused Big Problems for some sites, like passwords not working, some software uses the IE browser interface to run their program, it was not happy. MS stopped pushing it out auto for awhile, but just last week the did the same auto push of IE 11. You can uninstall 10 and 11, it will take you back to 9. Then download and run the Block IE10 /IE11 from MS to block them. (not sure how to unblock as I have not had to but I sure you can if needed)

Block IE10
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36512

Block IE11
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40722

To Uninstall the IE10 or 11 go to (Win 7) Windows Update, bottom left corner, click on "Installed Updates" and scroll down to almost the bottom to find the IE, select and uninstall

Once you get back to IE9 (or your existing IE10/IE11) go to "Tools" on the menu bar and click "Compatibilty View" when you are on Bonsai Nut site, this will help with sites that may were not built around the new browser.

I have been on dial-up here for years so I had updates turned off, we just got satellite but I did not turn on the update. Most (just my opinion, you do what you feel best) updates are for Security leaks that MS found were someone could hack into the pc, not much on my pc to get.

Hope this Helps!

I provide instructional technology support in an educational setting that is dominated by windows. Over the last several years, IE is becoming less and less functional on a wide variety of websites...Long story short...find another browser to use....Firefox and Chrome will undoubtedly provide a better experience.

Personally, I gave up on Windows many years ago and use exclusively Mac products now...they are not perfect by any means but in general will provide a much a better user experience.
