Miguelito's Blade
Mame
I have posted a couple of pictures taken yesterday at Home Depot of what their website describes as a "Tamukeyama Japanese Maple" but the salesperson called a "Green Japanese Maple." I hope one of the experts here can identify it, though I don't know if that is possible in its leafless state. My next question is regarding its suitability as bonsai and the source of various cuttings and air layers. I have read that this particular cultivar is next to impossible to get cuttings from it to survive. So based on what I am able to learn here, I must decide between this tree or an eight foot Trident Maple with branches that start about four feet from the ground and grow pretty much straight up. Thanks.
