Pine Cone Palooza

My JBP has not ever done this before. Every growing tip has a group of cones forming. I’ve heard this is a waste of the tree’s energy. If that’s true, how do I go about reducing the numbers of these? Should I remove all of them? Is now a good time to do it?

They are pollinator cones (male) not actual cones (female)
Most people say leave them alone they will fall off soon.
