Out of my comfort zone.

I've found junipers to be pretty relaxed when it comes to timing.
With some exceptions, like communis junipers.

I repot them when it feels like spring.
As for pruning, I'd do that after the first flush of growth has halted.
Wiring can be done throughout the year, but large bends are best saved for dormancy and be careful when you wire in the growing season because the bark can easily slip.
Good advice, thank you. This Juniper stuff is all new to me.

It's in the same pot and soil it was in two years ago. I haven't done anything with it. The reason I wanted to repot it is because the squirrels dug it half-way out and it needs to be settled back in properly.
That makes sense.
Accounts for the perculation :)

I would think repotting now is about perfect timing in your neck of the woods.
Make sure to anchor/wire down your tree well. No movement means less root disturbance. I’m sure you know good general repotting procedure.
I’m sure you will succeed!

Nice! White van guy has great candy. :)

I know it's an old joke but on vacation there really was a guy in an empty lot with a white van and a Bonsai Tree sign. He had them on benches, so no "come see what I have in my van" sort of stuff. We did see a police officer there shortly there after and he was gone when we went by again.

Cool, I get it. If I see a sale at a white van & everyone has pants on, I know it's legit. :) I can also tell if he sells ganja.

Junipers have really cool bark. I have two also. Reminds me, I need to get some copper spray.

Phyton27 is the best copper concentrate IMO, but
Mancozeb is my go to juniper spray for most diseases, including juniper tip blight.
hi japonicus, how do I treat juniper that turns brown from cutting, but returns to green after that - how to know if it is blight

I suppose this could benefit Carols thread eventually, but the only thing that should turn brown
from cutting, is what's been cut off unless you're sheering.
Tip blight does not return green.
