I had a bad weekend and was feeling blue. After work I saw this guy in the convenience store window. Price was okay, but it needs a bit of work.20180411_002655.jpgthe yellow area has the trunks fused/grafted together. The looks at the red arrows have also fused. The container looks like a plastic drawer or removable reservoir. It has no drainage so a repot is soon. Soil is standard potting peat mix. Some aerial roots are alive, most are dead.

20180411_003313.jpgmy initial idea is to cut around the blue lines for five or six cuttings/plants. I think I caught a boogie man watching me (circled in red). I will try to get some pics of the root situation when I repot.

20180411_164235.jpgThere WERE drainage holes!
20180411_225628.jpgstarting in. The surface was damp but it kept getting drier.
20180411_225707.jpgRoots weren't connected.
20180411_225840.jpgBlurry side view. Roots were pretty dry. I didn't get any during shots of cutting up. Had to hurry and finish, so I will get finished shots tomorrow.

Thought I would post an update. The smaller tree died in the spider mites wars. The twisty one has been growing in a sort of DWC bucket. It's put on some size now that I'm looking at it, and it looks like it's going to grow well this summer. I may re-pot it once the weather is a little better, I want to start sorting out the roots and nebari, as well as changing the planting angle.
