Sapling
I have a Ginseng Ficus that I want try a traditional style with, and it dawned on me that I have never heard of a natural grown plant. I'm sure they must exist, as Jerry "Bonsaihunk" Meislik has pictures of other species and varieties, but a search for ficus retusa or ficus microcarpa doesn't yield many good results. What I find are bonsai or trees kept as part of a landscape, which were maintained and not allowed to grow naturally.
Is the Ginseng Ficus a variety that has only existed in a form of cultivation? If so, how would it grow as nature intended?
