The only tree I lost while down 6 months from covid unable to tend them. My husband's favorite. I'm thinking he over watered it...over winter.

Thanks...it honestly...didn't hit so hard. We lost more people to covid...that a tree didn't seem like a hard loss at all. Ya'know...perspective.
Though...I felt, one would come in to replace it's spot on the bench. This did happen. The gnarly ficus once of Jerry Meislik's. Cool trunk neagari. Came about full circle...I seen it as.

I am sorry to hear that you lost your Virginia Creeper, but more sorry to hear that you were sick for 6 months with Covid!
Your V Creeper inspired me to dig up two with big trunks. They are growing nicely and I hope someday they will be as beautiful as yours was.

That was a horrible time. 4 months totally bedridden. Then months after still recovering. But 6 months unable to tend my trees. But...I'm here among the daisies and not pushing them up. So...can't complain. Many weren't that fortunate. I actually had...survivors guilt. Believe it or not. Crazy...how we process things.
