In the spirit of trying to get more trees up I am sharing this one. It was once very full. Then one day over the summer I came home to find the top layer of soil messed with broken branches and literally chunks missing from the trunk. Squirrels are my only thought. I think it is slowly coming back though. Think it needs more lights. Anyway. Here ya go. Comments welcome.

Nice Jade. It will recover from the squirrels(think of it as added character). I try to leave mine outside as long as possible in the fall and put it out after danger of frost. The longer it lives outside the better it will do (as long as it doesn't freeze). Keep it dry it winter and maximize light so it doesn't get leggy.

Most jade don't even look like trees to me, this is a nice one, can hardly tell it's a jade.
Thanks for posting it! Hope it recovers well for you.

I agree. I too am not into jades but this is one of the better jades I've seen.

This is one of the most tree-like jades I've seen. It reminds me of a big oak tree, if it were a succulent that was miniaturized and place into a pot. I have a couple jades, but I figure it will take years until one of them even starts to look like a tree rather than a weird bush. Assuming you bring it in during the winter, what kind of indoor setup do you have for it?

Thanks all. As for my indoor set up, I have been using a T5 grow light but it is a single bulb which I don't think is sufficient. It is ok for my smaller plants but this one is too large. Over the winters it does fine but I think it could be better with a bigger set up.
