Hi bonsainut potters.

I am having trouble making rivets for a drum pot. I am using a metal stick with a concave end, then pot clay in that stuck and push it into the pot. Is that how its done?

I am not a potter but rivets on a drum pot are generally raised off the surface not indented into it. Sounds like you are trying to press them into the pot...

I've seen videos where it is done by squeezing a thick slip out a nozzle on a plastic squeeze bottle (think cake decorator icing bags). The slip is thin enough that it flows into a nice round rivet head. Probably doesn't work for big rivets.

I put clay on the "rivetter" before pressing.

Oso, I will try to find that
