I’m so humbled and freaking excited y’all ! I was gifted this unique and amazing finished JBP. (In saying that, I do know it can always be worked on)

I guess my sweet friend felt bad that all I had was cuttings, saplings and pre-pre-Bonsai in my little starter collection 😂 Aside from how beautiful and unique it is, on a funny side-note, it reminded me of a fish from the deep sea

It is a a piece that belonged to Dennis Makishima. His Collection was auctioned off this weekend by the California Bonsai Society in Oakland. I was told a lot of the photos in the “Sunset Bonsai” book, I believe second edition, are pictures of his trees. Definitely a unique artist and I am more than honored to own one of his trees.

Very Cool, I like it. not 100% sold on the top dead branch curly part but it could grow on me..

Jin maybe ? It’s odd and I’m trying to decide if that makes it unique. From what I understand, his designs are definitely different. Worst case, it could be a built-in handle :)
