This one grew well this season, now patiently waiting for color change. maybe a little cutback at that time for shape to make it purdy.
I don’t find them finicky at all. Just slow to trunk up and slow to heal chops. This one has been relatively problem free in terms of bugs or fungus.Double post!

Yes, I wasn't suggesting anything, on the contrary, I love the full look of it.We'll see in spring when it's time to prune a little for shape and possibly repot. I tend to prefer very full trees so usually don't remove much.

Good to see the rules are not strictly enforced hereI never did like the way most bonsai trees seem to have a window in the front of the canopy to see the trunk. It looks too much like a cut away diagram from a biology textbook. I've gotten used to the fact that it's the norm, but it still looks contrived.
