I bought This juniper about 6 years ago from a fellow club member. It was well cared for but hadn't been styled much at that point.
After the first wiring I re potted it and was crushed when the two back lifelines inexplicably died.
I let ir recover for a few years before taking it to a workshop with Ryan Neil last year. He helped me restyle the tree and bent a couple of branches from the front to make future back branches. these will take a couple more years to fill in. I showed the tree at the American Bonsai of Sacramento spring show last weekend for the first time.

It is very nice but a shame since I really liked the pic after the first styling. I can only imagine how much better it is if those branches did not die. Still a wonderful transformation...great recovery! :)

Very nice Paul. From what I notice and from talking to others. Sections of junipers dying for seemingly no reason happens quite often.

I know. I was heartbroken and didn't even want to look at the tree for a couple of years. I have a lot of hope for it know with Ryan's help.

I like it a lot. Very nice work.
