Most desirable ficus bonsai specie?

Sweet! When do you take tropical out in summer? Early May?
I picked this one up from big green nursery.
I start to take them out when night time temps stay above 50-55°, but mine have seen a couple hours of 30s with no ill effect but that's definitely not recommended.

I worked at The Great Big Greenhouse for about 13 years, great place but their bigger bonsai stock can be expensive. The starters and smaller stuff are usually a good price. They mostly get their bonsai stock from Meehan's Miniatures right across the VA border in Maryland. The tag off of your bougainvillea also tells me it's from Meehan's.

You could have this pot, they are cuttings I took last summer. There's a microcarpa and a benjamina in there, plus some failed ginkgo root cuttings

Here's all of my other ficus, the cuttings will be off the tall one in the back corner, you can still get one in a couple months if you want.

They got a bunch of stuff in this past Thursday. I feel that bougainvillea was the nicest of the bunch.

Sadly not guaranteed that photo stock tree. Hate brown bag purchases. But a good price for sure.
I revived the trees today. I’m pleasantly surprised how nice the willow is. Wigert’s bonsai service was top notch. They answered all my question promptly. Heck they even answer emails at 9 pm! Never been this happy with an online service before. The Elm I ordered from Brussels was rather disappointing but these guys are in totally different league.
Now the question is what size pot should I get this in? I like shallow pots but how much root reduction is reasonable for the first reporting?

This is the one I got. Not bad for $25 and an excellent service.
Good for you. Yes they have excellent customer service. Andrea will go out of her way to send pictures, if you are looking for something in particular that isn't on their website. Everything I have purchased from them has arrived in a timely manner and in great shape.

Willow leaf is F. salicaria but often it is listed as nerifolia and salicifolia which is wrong as they are their own species. Chance are though, if you see a nerifolia or salicifolia listed it will actually be a salicaria.

I'd say the willow leaf is definitely desirable, it took me ages to find one here in Spain but happy I finally did.

The other one I'd take in a heart beat is F. rubiginosa but can only seem to find large ornamental specimen trees.
Hello. Please can you advise where did you find it? It’s one year that I am looking for it

Wigert's. Google it and look on eBay. Many people here buy from Wigert's. All kinds of ficus and other tropicals. Great people, great service, great plants.

Hello.
Thank you for your quick reply but I have seen that he doesn’t ship to Europe. Isn’t it? Unfortunately I do live in Italy.
