Hmmm.... I dunno. I'm not so sure..
Go find a tree that you believe is excellent for the money and show me, I'm genuinely curious lol.
My maple is from there, but was a less than amazing experience with them, so left a bit of a sour taste.

Yeah I'm working now. Definitely a good buy. Just so happens to be I'm in the market for a tree soon.

Not so sure I see such potential? It's ok, but that large inverse taper bulge isn't particularly attractive to me. Could ground layer it but it'd lose some nice nebari.

Yeah i like his crab apples you get alot of tree for your money aswell.
He does some great yamadori aswell and the trunks you get for your buck are good value i may buy one soon.
I really want this tree.

Looks ace and for less than £700

Yeah for sure, both great but I think this is where I'm going wrong... £700 and £640... that's a lot of money.. that's over $1000 odd. I just couldn't.. if you was gonna spend that kinda money, wouldn't you want more pre-bonsai material? Rather than raw material.

Certainly not disagreeing with either of you, just different perspective on things I think.
Also my eye for potential isn't very good yet.
