Methods for harvesting pine/fur bark in the wild

I hope you are collecting from down, dead trees and not live standing specimens.
I am no tree hugger, unless they come in small pots, but to do otherwise is just wrong.

Yeah. They're down trees. I cut them down every day. But I don't use bark. That was me hypothetically collecting bark. If I really needed bark I would get it a sawmill. It's laying everywhere.
