Mateo’s Vance Wood memorial mugo entry

I picked this guy up at the Home Depot today. I found the only one that was a single trunk. Here it is as I bought it.

When I got it home all I did was cut down the pot a bit and remove a bit of soil to uncover the trunk.

This one is growing fast. I fertilized it fairly heavily and so far it seems to be liking it.

Since all the timetables in Vance’s mugo guide are in Michigan time I figured I’m a month ahead in Carolina time so I went ahead and got on with cut backs and branch selection.
