Thought I would share my new little guy. I especially love the pot which is by Hirata Atsumi that I bought from Bonsai Vision.

Very nice pot and tree combination. Can you post a pic with a soda can or something for a size reference.

Rob

The pot is lovely -- but too large for the tree.

Yes. It is. But will work for now until I develop a larger procumbens and I couldn't stand the pot empty so I wanted to use it.

No offense, but it's just a cutting in an expensive pot.
My view is that an expensive tree goes into an expensive pot.

Ease up bud. He only really wanted to show off a neat little tree in a bad ass pot.

Yes. I wanted to show the pot. That was the point of the thread. It takes time to get or develop
an 'expensive tree' and I'm not made of cash so for now it will work. Sorry if it bothers you.

I said "no offense" for a reason. No offense.

Prefacing an offensive or negative comment with 'no offense' does not make it non offensive or less negative. It is what it is. Oh well.

I didn't say anything negative about the pot. Its a nice pot. But I mean, I wouldn't put a $15 tree into a $100 pot or vice versa. I don't even have a $100 pot though....but I can get you $100 pot if thats what u want?

I got $200.00 trees in $20.00 pots. What's the difference? Pots are secondary to trees for me. I don't have $ 15.00 trees. What do you put them in?

I do as well. Not everyone can have both expensive trees in expensive pots for all their collection immediately or ever for that matter. You get and develop some expensive trees along the way and can pick up some nice pots along the way. Both may not happen at the same time but that does not mean you can't have either. I'm not showing the tree I posted. It's for my enjoyment and to not have an empty pot right now.

Right now, I have couple of my most expensive trees (more than $300 each) in $7 colanders and some collected trees (free) in my most expensive pots. ;)

Someone posted on one of my threads not long ago that how much you pay for a tree is irrelevant. If that were the case, would you only put yamadori in pots that are free? Ultimately, it's your pot and tree and that's really all that matters.

No offense, but why did you feel the need to make this obnoxious post?
