That's great! Just what I needed to see, as I was feeling depressed after looking at my tiger bark cut back 10 days ago and no budding yet. Yours took around 3 weeks?

It has grown out a lot since the last pruning, so it was time for another haircut. I’m doing it now so it will have a chance to start setting buds before it comes indoors for the winter.

At some point in the future, this tree is going to get significantly shorter. I’m thinking that I’ll air layer off the top (maybe next summer) and then grow a new apex from one of those two lowest branches with the other becoming the first branch.

I fiew days ago cracked the branch. It will survive or branch will die off?? It holds now in place with tape!!

If you can keep it moist and stabilize it mechanically so it’s not flopping around in the breeze, it may survive.
