larch

this one dropped two branches and i dont know why... it has been growing well past season.
but to be fair oné branch was looking like a bar branch and was placed inside a curve and the other was on the nomination to go anyway the tree apears lichter to me and i still have enough to work with.
tree is not been wired this winter and will be repotted soon.

Today i wired and styled this larch!

Im looking for a nice pot now, the roots are not great but after all these years in this terracotta pot its time for something more prety, im thinking of a round pot as i keep losong track on whats the front and if i want to slightly adjust the front a round pot would be easyer to do so by just turning it a bit.
The shari i want to extend around the trunk further down in the growing season.
maybe play with the planting angle a bit ?

Observation, the branches with the cones on were weakened allot the tree let one die off after it shed its needles the other one i pruned off it was thicker then lower branches and a split into three instead of two so less branches but so far i like where this is going.

note to self prune off the cones/flowers in the future.

Let me know what you think! Suggestions on what type of pot or anything else that comes to your mind is appreciated.

Nice! I like it😉😬.

Seriously, that’s nicely done. As far as a pot for it, perhaps a rustic round or drum.
Thank you sir!
Yes i am leaning towards rustic round more then a drum.
Looking great! I really like the apical Jin look.
I also agree with Dave about a drum pot or something rustic.
Thnx! yeah for me the story is something happend the main trunk died and the lowest branch took over thats why i end up with the new trunk going a bit behind the jin and a branch around it, to me felt more natural as the new leader will grow the same direction as the jin towards the light.
