Lance's two trunk Raintree

Sorry for a delayed response...been celebrating other people's birthdays!!o_O

The new pot is gonna' drain some soil, that's for sure!! Just bought two big bags of Bonsai West soil.....

If any body was wondering, I do use poo with this mix and we've never had a problem. Good repot schedule seems to keep the issue at bay.

what's the in mix? :)
and how do you order? i see no option to order on-line!

Turface, bark, gravel, some fines. Give them a call, they would probably ship to you. Shipping a heavy bag of soil is pretty pricey, however!!
They do have smaller bagged size alternatives....give 'em a shout!!

Damn, it needs to warm up so I can play with mine!

Ain't shrinkage a Bitch!

Lance....
Why can't I tell what direction that hand goes in the soil pic?
That's a huge glove!

You should totally let your BRT get into some earth.

The kid loves gloves. He see's Nomad Johnny wearing them, so he has to wear some!!
Once I repot into this more organic/water retentive mix....it's on!!
Plant it in the ground? Your high!! :D:D:D:D:D

Plant it in the ground? Your high!

Not yet!

Not in the ground ground.....

But a couple escaped roots for sure!

Even just into a large pot below it with compost.

Something!

I'm completely sold on earth.

I never had earth to get into and now that I do...

Well...
It kinda sucks that May of 2018 Will be my move out date.

But for this year...it's on!

Man, I love that tree! I have upped the water and ferts on mine, as advised, and it has responded really well. Can't wait to get it outside. Nighttime lows still in the 40's for this week:mad:. That new pot is sweet!

It's going to look great in that pot!

It's just a Mica pot from Korea, plastic, basically!!:(:D:D Think it would be "cheap"? You'd be wrong.:(:D:D:D
More for some rampant growth. I'll just tease out the roots a bit and wire it in. Haven't decided what soil I'll use. I've got a Turface, gravel, and bark mix I've used for awhile or the ol' lava, pumice, akadama mix that works great for conifers. Let's see yours that you planted in the yard, Capt. @Lobaeux :D:D So cool!!;):):)
Thanks for the kind remarks, bro! Have a great day!!! Watch for lizards!!o_O:D:D:D:D:D

Hey @Carol 83 , I'm stoked you like the tree!! Thanks for updating your progress, keep feeding!! I have actually left it out for a few overnights and it hasn't seemed to notice. You have to be careful and not get greedy. Let things warm a bit, it won't be long.;):D:D:D

The new container hopefully will help get some girth on the trunk. Here's to hoping!!!:D:D:D:D

Good luck with yours and have fun!!;)

I think when I do pull his one out, I'll put it in a training pot and will take it to a workshop. Doubt I'm going to attempt this one on my own.

Wow, how big is it? (Opportunity for @M. Frary ) I envy your weather to be able to plant it outside! At least I'll be in FL for a week this summer to enjoy the weather and ocean! Looking good!

@Lobaeux Nice Tree!! I agree leave it in the ground until next year!!! Not happy about the tree is she?

Is that a porsche? Go buy another one and then she will forget about that tree! :p:p:p:p

A week after repot it rained for three day's straight and overnight lows sunk to the mid-40's......papi pout for days...:(:(:(:(:(:(

Lance,

I think there is a Tamarind in a pot like that down here.

The circles seem to have a special quality with high branching trees.

!!Very pretty tree!!

If I can get some seed to you, would you like to try the thornless ironwood from our side ?
Good Day
Anthony
