I just realized I don't have a thread for this forest. I posted it on another thread asking about water columns of thin pots but don't have a progression thread.

Anyways, I got 11 lacebark elm seedlings back in 2021 and I made a forest with 7 of them. Unfortunately when I changed phones I lost a lot of pictures so the earliest Pic I have is from 2023 but picture literal sticks with no branches at all.
Here it in March and then April of 2023:

A year later in 2024 I repotted it into a much thinner pot. I attempted an air layer on one but it failed lol. That year one of the trees died so I took a cutting and stuck it in the side (the thinnest tree on the right side) to keep the number of trees at 7

It grew well that year as well

It gave a good fall color but not all at the same time unfortunately 20241216_124411.jpg

A couple of weeks ago I repotted again to lower them in the pot and also rotated the forest a bit to change front 20250208_192002.jpg20250208_192014.jpg

After repotting:

Before and after the repot. Picture doesn't do the front change justice but I think it was the right move

Looking forward to seeing how it keeps developing this year. I'll keep updating this thread
