Here is part 2 of the maple forest planting construction118.JPG 119.JPG 120.JPG 121.JPG 126.JPG 128.JPG This last photo is my mini Yorkie. Whenever I repot plants she digs in the mud by my potting bench. I wonder what she is thinking.

Nice start. Now get rid of many of the extra branches -- especially all but the center of that clump of branches in the tallest tree in the right hand grouping. The rest need mostly to be thinned so you can see the tree's structure.

Forest trees are not wide; they're tall and straight.

Suggested cuts are marked.

That is something I plan to do next growing season. Keep in mind these trees were moved from their home in Memphis and had their roots re-worked within the same week. I am going to let them recuperate for the season and next fall I will start removing branches and wiring where I feel its needed.
Thanks for the advice.

I think you should move all images to this post, and keep only one thread. Instead of part 1 and part 2.

Nice start. Oh NO I again agree with Jim.

Looks like you only have moss and there are no stones. What are your plans for these. Also do you consider this a Saikei? Keep us informed.
