II think I have juniper scale on one of my procumbens nana. They look like white scale with a brown center (pretty much the same as what a Google search shows)

I will post a pic later, but usually I don't really like to use chemicals because I end up burning the tree.

Any good non chemical solution? Thanks

I had a scale infestation on my ficus when I moved them indoors for the winter.
I didnt want to spray neem oil inside so I used a mixture of Simple Green soap, rubbing alcohol and water
In a 32 ounce spray bottle, I put 1 cup of alcohol, 2 tablespoons of soap
You can substitute dishwashing liquid for the simple green if you dont have any of that near you

Cover the soil with plastic so it doesnt go into the soil
You need to spray this mixture every few days (I do it once per week for a month to 6 weeks). Repeat if the scale appears again.

If you do use Neem oil, put the tree in the shade. Ive read its not good to spray any kind of dormant oil on a tree in the hot sun in the summer especially.

Need works but as said put it in the shade. The alcohol technique works better in my experience. Then of course there's the wire brush! That'll get em for sure.

I pulled them off my cotoneaster and it is fine.

All of em.

And put centipedes in the soil for the "crawlers".

Fine.
