These are my very favorite shears that I purchased in the early 80's. Don't remember from whom, heck I can't even remember if I had lunch today. Anyway they are 7 3/4 inches over all and the handles are 3 1/2 inches. Inlaid in the handles is a diamond with some kind of symbol in it and the word JAPAN. I would love to be able to purchase another pair or two. Can anyone help with ID and possible sources? Thanks folks.

This is about as good a close-up as I can manage. Thanks for trying to help.

Thanks Jim, that sure appears to be the right ones.

At the ARS site http://www.arscorporation.jp/02products/product_09handycraft.html They list" 380: Designed for bonsai and also cutting crab. And at 195mm that is about the right length and design. I also noticed that they were founded in 1876 by Mr. Torakichi Takigawa and in 1965 the trade mark of crocodile was enacted as corporate logo. The logo on my shears, purchased in the 80's does not appear to be a crocodile, more like a crab. But thanks and I will pursue these.

Thanks for linking the site. I've never heard of them before but might pull the trigger on one of their pruning saws. They have pretty good reviews.
