It's time to post your best tropicals here!

Only considered my "best" tropical, because it's my only tropical...

Ficus benjamina clump.

stood 6 feet tall and just about the same in terms of width when I got it (off Craigslist). Whacked it back hard and re-growing branches and canopy from scratch. Stands about 20 inches tall now, and about 4 feet wide.

It's coming along... another couple years and I think it'll be a nice clump, especially for a benji.

Thanks, the pot was made by a member here that hasn't been around in awhile. Mine always drop some leaves in the winter, just showing some attitude from being brought inside. Mine are in a southern exposure also, but with additional grow lights. I had the red/blue LED's, but switched to the white ones that are supposed to mimic sunlight and are easier on the eyes. All my trops seem to prefer them and I've had much less leaf drop with them. Granted, they've only been inside for a week, so time will tell. I wouldn't worry about yours, they will bounce back. Just be careful not to overwater.

These are what I consider my best, for better or worse. One thing is for sure, if you don't like wiring, don't get a ficus, lol.

First, ficus benjamina, if have been told that it is the "exotica" or the "phillipenes" variety, but can't confirm it. It does not like to be a bonsai, the growth is always straight up. I think since I have had it I have put on and taken off over ten miles of wire.

Another needle leaf ficus, it has a long ways to go but is shaping up to be one of my favorites.

I don't know why all of the photos are posting as thumbnails now, is that something new?

Oooohhh. Officially jealous now! I have tried to get these to grow several times from seed, and they never do. :(
Leatherback remind me of that before we next meet.
I have sowed several seeds from this very bonsai and they all took. Sowed in late winter, 20 days later they have sprouted, I gave them away to a friend. I'm sure I can manage to give you a seedling next time.

New to this site and not sure how to start my own conversation (add recipients?!)
Hope it’s ok to start here.
I have possibly Bougainvillea problems.
I just got this plant a few weeks ago and there are black spots on the trunk and branches. It’s hard clumps in some places which rub off and crumbles easily.
And thoughts?

No big deal to put it here, but best to start your own thread. For to Forums, then click on the Flowering section. On the right hand side at the top is an orange box that says post a thread. Click on that, enter a title and ask your question in the box below. Pictures would help you get the best advice. Welcome!
