Well, I posted a thread on my tanuki.. So I figured I should post a real bonsai:D. This one I have been working on for about 6 years. It is an itoigawa shimpaku.

Beautiful composition. I really love that stand in combination with the pot, and likewise the pot with the tree. I'll give you $20 for it! :D

How rude:D it's worth at least $25;)

Still learning the display end of it Rob, I'm thinking that general size of the stand is good, but I am thinking that a bit lighter(not as chunky) would be better. Not saying it's terrible either.

Thanks axxonn.. Make it $21.50 and you have a deal ..:D. I just added the stand for some composition and to keep the tree off the floor. Not a bonsai display, but a nice pic.

i like how the ethernet cable box ties everything together! it compliments the color of the soil and slight hues of the bark perfectly. jk :) it really is a nice tree! i can hardly keep a juniper alive let alone make it beautiful...well done!

Hi Bill.. Ya, I posted before you replied. This is not intended for a bonsai display at all. Just for this pic in this room since it had good lighting. If I had to compose a display, It would be a more rectangualr very low stand with a moderate colored wood and probably a scroll with a summer theme. Also, probably a very small shohin accent tree instead of a plant.:D

lol.. If the tree gets bored, it can watch cable.. Actually, there is no tv in that room..:)

Sure.. Here is the 6 year progression.

1st..This is the tree as purchased 6 years ago.
2nd. The tree a few years later after some good growth and some pruning
3rd..A couple years later. The tree has grown out of control
4th.. Pruned back hard last season. Also, the angle of the pic shows the future angle that the tree will be repotted
5th.. The tree rewired, repotted, recovering and growing well.
