Inventory Reduction Sale & Penny Start Auctions

Don, I'm curious - have you worked/developed any of these yourself (past this "stump" phase), or do you pretty much sell them all at this point?

Chris

I have worked some for upwards of 5 years. The problem is, I can't keep them around because everyone wants the ones that are developed. People who stop by end up buying the more developed trees.

Understood. Any chance you have a photo or two of a tree you've worked on for that long before selling? I'm curious to see how much development you are able to achieve in that time frame.

I'll check for some old photos. They grow very quickly.

The one in the photo below is Bill Valavanis' tree. This will give you an idea of what you can do with them, although I don't know how long his tree has been in development. He has done a great job.

Thanks...I'm very familiar with that tree, one of my favorites of his (and it sparked my original interest in the species). The bark is amazing. I would think that is quite an old specimen.

This auction ends in about 5 hours and the price is currently only $57, which is 25% percent of retail. That's cheap folks! And a great opportunity to buy a chojubai for next to nothing....

Here's another chojubai offered for a PENNY START & NO RESERVE.

The trunk is nicely developed. This tree is 8 years old, not some fragile 1 year cutting.

Nice little tree but shipping to Washington seemed a bit high ($31) for a small specimen.

That is absurdly high! It should be the cost of a medium flat rate priority box USPS or less. So, that's $12.35 or less in shipping, regardless of what the ebay shipping calculator says.

I will charge a maximum of $12.35 for shipping. So, don't worry about the ebay shipping calculator.
