Hello there.
So my Ilex crenata lost its leaves on the bottom half, but retained them on the top half. The branches on the lower half seem to have dryed up, since they can be snapped by little pressure applied. But the top half seems to be doing just fine. I water it regularly, but not too regularly. Could the reason be that it is winter time and that it is very cold in my room ( around 7 degrees celcius )? Thank you and have a nice day :).

Ilex is an evergreen so it shouldn't lose any leaves until the leaves are spent, old.
If the bottom leaves start dropping fast, there's either a nutrient deficiency or something else going on. Can you show us a picture?
