How many insults?

More or less...
With anti fungal properties ....
That don't work.

I'm using Loctite G02 Glue...
It stays flexible...but gives a surface a callous will heal over...
It reacts funny with ficus sap...
But I have some in what was a dry spot, and the callous has touched it and appears to be growing over.

The other on on elm..
To keep it from rotting.
It is healing over to...but more, moving the glue as it does.

Duct seal works good.

@Leo in N E Illinois did you use any of that stuff I gave you yet?
I haven't.

@sorce - haven't tried it yet but I will. It made the trip from the car into my tray of wire, bonsai tools & odd junk. So it will be on hand next project.

I believe most cut pastes are basically clay wet with linseed oil. Some have other additives, but basically that's the formula. The putty used by glazers to hold a pane of glass in a window frame is: clay with linseed oil. DAP brand putty is basically the same as cut paste except it does have white pigment added to color it.

I don't think I would use wood glue again. It's took a while to dry and Im worried it could rehydrate. It got a bit of mold on it as well.

I do have pottery clay which I had thought about trying, but no linseed to mix in.

Cut paste seems mostly pointless considering what it's for and how many other things can fulfill the same role
