I lurk over on r/bonsai on Reddit and one of the users recently bought 2 Mirai trees as well as 2 Bjorn trees in the last month or so. Pretty interesting stuff, hopefully he’ll work his way over here soon so we can get a garden walkthrough and see the development on these beauties!

Would be interesting to know who the Redditor was. According to my Facebook pages, Tommy Lee has been making the rounds to high end bonsai spots in the last month or so. He's been to Bjorn's place, as well as Dan Robinson's. Don't know about Mirai, though...

Here you go mate. Not quite as cool as Tommy Lee but I did stay at a Holiday Inn once.

Probably a 24 hour travel time ( flight time 19.50 minutes & a 2 hour train ride ) the a taxi to your place ) you got a spare bed ?

What a newb. Lives in Wisconsin with Midwest windstorms like we always have and not one strap holding any of those pricey trees down.

Plenty. Just let me know when to pick you up from the airport.

Hope we meet sometime. I call the Milwaukee Bonsai Society my home club, though I have been irregular in attendance lately. There is a pretty active local scene. Be sure to visit the Lynden Sculpture Garden where the MBF houses its collection of Bonsai. A modest, but sincere collection, I believe over 50 trees at this time, they appear in rotation at the pavilion in the Lynden Sculpture park. There are several local Bonsai potters and artist/teachers that teach classes in the area.

Hey Leo! I’m looking forward to when we meet! Bummed I missed ya at MABA. I’ve attended a couple of MBS’s events and trying to be more active for sure. Good group of people! I took a tour of Lynden during the annual MBS exhibit in august. Very cool collection of trees. The area is very lucky to host the collection!
