Couple years ago I decided to walterpall this little S.O.B.
JBP........Maybe, although some have disputed that.

Nice (I thought) good drainage soil. HAH !
But.... deep-ish ceramic pot with itty bitty pair of holes.

Now while my other pines were throwing candles (to meet their demise this summer)

THIS dirty devil did ...nuttin. 🤔
Except fail to thive and make some nice curly needles.

damn 1.jpg
Branch End Buds (BEBs) ........... microscopic.
Sooooo I chopsticked it.
WET !! How the fuck it even lived puzzles me.

Plus every other goddam thing that being too damn wet does.

Of course, as a.... good bonsai nut, 🥰 .....I watered it and fertilized it and ...all that good shit.

So...to correct it, today I potted it OUT OF SEASON into the pond basket with hyuga and sharper pumice. And a peppering of potting soil.
.......A PEPPERING !! ......To make it think it still had a bit of the swamp to live in.

NOTHING ELSE DONE !! No root butchering. Hell, I would hate to disturb those soggy black (with TINGE of itty bitty whitish thingys)
No pruning. NUTTIN!!
Just gently poured in the pumice and worked it in easy.
Well, I did wangle off the fucking wire I had contaminated the poor thing with. (Only broke one branch :()
THE WIRE IS GONE !! Except for 15-count em-15 tethers that don't wrap the ill branches.

So...there it sits. Waiting. On the hospital shelf. IF the thing lives, I can put it in more sun in a decade or so.

Hell, there's no damn room in the green waste barrel that is so full of DIRT and shit that it will be fun to see if the truck can lift it.
So...maybe...oh who knows?

PM for pine advice as I am such a goddam expert!

----------------------------------------------------

P.S what with the other pines so close, one would think they would share some damn stories or something.

It just doesn’t like you.

Its needles actually p look healthy, which means there’s a lot of hope! Maybe it jus needs attention and you should sit by it and read to it?

Betting it will push fall candles…

cheers

Almost the same screaming fit today over a screen-mess stopping up water in a plastic pot, like 2 tablespoons in a 6" pot it is way too much for roots to sit in.
I think the thick screens are a problem in the shallow plastic.

I don't have anything helpful to add, but you do have nice trees. From the first pic it has good bones, and the color of the needles are good. I can't see any yellowing at the needle bases, just a happy green.
