Hello all,

I found an online nursery that sells young seedlings for reasonably affordable prices. I love their selection. Does anyone have experience purchasing from them?

No experience with Holly Hill (but several others). I could not find on their web-site where they are located -- often makes a difference in the plants and in shipping. Do you know where they are located?

My recent experience:
I ordered 20 mugo pine seedlings on May 12. June 20 I sent a request asking when he expected to ship. And received a call the next day, he will ship them as soon as he can get them from his supplier. Since then I have sent many emails and contact requests asking for my trees or a refund. He has not responded and I do not have any seedlings or a refund.
Heads up on this outfit, a quick Google search will show MANY similar stories. Basic MO is to delay until it is too late to pursue action through Paypal or credit card co.

PayPal has something around 180 days to dispute, that's a long delay. I'd pass

Finally got my seedlings, still not happy.

I get upset with any vendor who publishes for sale a product they don't physically have in inventory.

Even Amazon will state "not in stock" and when they expect to have it - and give you a choice of whether you want to order it or not. I understand that working in the retail nursery business can be somewhat random due to weather and acts of God... but don't list the product on your site if you don't have it.

I am currently waiting for a special cultivar that is due in to a local specialty nursery... in 6 months. They could easily have taken my money and delayed me... instead they said "check back in 6 months"

Sad that they've been screwing you around, that's unacceptable.

And THAT'S why I stopped having the manufacturers drop ship for our online business, we made the investment to bring everything into inventory.
Can't & won't be held hostage to their inventory levels any longer.
