Not sure what socialism has to do with it. Concerns were more because of the personal injuries and, most of all, the 3 days of continuous warzone scenes in the cities & resutling damages to public and private spaces which run in the tens of millions of euros (Netherlands in 2016: 68 Million Euro, in a country of 17M persons).
