Greenmound juniper nursery stock from lowes

Hello this is a Greenmound juniper from lowes I cleaned the trunk and root base a bit to see it a little better
There are no upward branches
Just the 2 branches that are left and rite with plenty of foliage
Any ideas on how to shape style would be much appreciated
I’ve started cleaning it up allready

Personally would pick the trunkline you prefer best, and then wire the trunk upright. Then you can wire out the branches into pads.

There is a YouTube video of Ryan Neil styling a very humble juniper similar to this one. You might check that out for inspiration.

'Greenmound' is a procumbens juniper cultivar, very similar to 'nana', but with greener foliage color than nanas (which are more blue.) From what I've seen, greenmounds are just as tough and forgiving as nanas, so it's a good learning tree you've got there. Procumbens are also great to practice wiring on since they're relatively cheap and abundant in nurseries. Look at pictures of other nana junipers and decide what shape you'd like to try for. Since you have two main branches, perhaps make one of them an upward winding trunk, and keep the other as a low branch? Good luck and have fun with it!
