just wondering if anyone had any extra Japanese maple seeds that were fresh or fresh and put into stratification i might be able buy some . i did buy a few off scheffields but they were dry so hoping i didnt get burnt though ik they require different stratification:

Scarification: Soak in hot tap water, let stand in water for 24 hours
Stratification: warm stratify for 120 days, cold stratify for 120 days
Germination: sow seed 3/8" deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed
warm moist then

at least this is what they recomend . kinda nervous now

I have bought from them before but they were the same year’s seed crop. I soaked in water and stratified in the fridge. After about 90 days they had germinated in the fridge and I had to plant them. Kinda caught me off guard as I wasn’t ready for them yet.

Kk only ones they had were dry and dates varied from 2012 to 2022 so hoping at least a couple will grow .
