Forming hoarder club... apply if you think you qualify.

LOL Was taught not to leave pots on the ground due to the potential for nematodes to get into the pots.
I liked your set up very much. Wonder where you got those nursery benches? I got a couple off of ebay when the offer free shipping but they don't do that anymore and the shipping is as much as the bench itself.

Thanks to the sky high real estate prices in SoCal and the fact that (according to my wife) I'm supposed to share the backyard with my kids, I've filled my allotted bonsai space. I don't think I'm a hoarder, but my wife thinks the 125 live oak/cork oaks growing in the back yard are borderline.

I think im a hoarder but a hoarder of more refined trees, I have no interest in growing seedling at all, been selling my uglier trees on Ebay lately to clear out some space but for every tree I sold.. I bought 3 better quality new ones lol.

I told myself I wasn't getting any new trees in 2024 until I wire all the trees I have. I bought 4 new trees already this year and sold one. I have only wired two trees so far.

I won't have the top score because I can only have as many as I can overwinter in the shed. And the squirrels are averaging two bonsai murders a year. I still may have enough for membership

The blue cage is venus flytraps.

The bleacher seats are basically a squirrel dinner plate because it's so low.

This was supposed to be a flower bed but we have to get the gutters fixed first. The Juniper is 5ft long.

The shed. Still transitioning some trees to full sun or protecting them from wind.

I should fill all the window boxes with bonsai.

The greenhouse has mostly tropicals I'm acclimating to full sun and my venus flytraps that I am protecting from the squirrels. I need more shelves though.

Just a couple bonsai in this photo but mostly rooted cuttings, sundews, and heliamphora.

That is the only way to thin...upgrade purchases. That has always been my motto. 😉

Dude, This is the definition of hoarder!

Show us some pics.
(Keep in mind I only have 0.41 acres and two kids under 7 that need their space!)

60+ Cyclamen seedlings I need to separate:

Some big jades still inside in the south facing windows (and some other things):

1000003715.jpg

Some rough looking tropicals acclimating to outside again:

1000003710.jpg

Primary "bench," AKA old picnic table, AKA stuff in development that needs full sun:

1000003709.jpg

What my wife calls "the nursery":

Some collected trunk chops from this spring (hey look, it's the @namnhi crab apple with a couple sprouts!):

Larches and a beech collected this spring (haven't decided on a permanent place yet):

1000003708.jpg

And there are some random other things scattered, like this juniper, and a couple pieces of it that had ground layered themselves:

ordered them from the manufacturer

They aren't cheap once you factor in shipping costs but they are made of UV resistant plastic, don't need paint or stain, don't rot so no rebuilds so far.
I've had them for several years and they have held up to year-round weather being outside
