For the lovers of Ponderosa Pine...

Have you bought something from him yet?

If not, it's a real treat.

Opening those boxes always result in feeling like you should have paid more. Remember too, he's losing 5% to Paypal. Plus those discounts he gives for tool purchases. Plus the utmost confidence knowing he's doing this legally and ethically.

I rue the day he stops doing this.

I've been in correspondence with him...I'm afraid the tree maybe to large for me with my bumper shoulder. It was verbally guessed at 16" via phone. When he measured it was 25". I'm not sure I can maneuver it with my bumper shoulder and all. I did ask weight though.

Also for those looking for collected material from Andy, I would check out his Burlap Bonanza. The trees are cheaper, there is some risk involved but for the price I think its worth it. I got two trees and they shipped for about the shipping that is listed for one tree. I also got pots and his soil, and his book. I already have one of his trees, and I love it.

You need to check it regularly because he gives about 24 hours of notice and the trees go fast! I got my order in about an hour and a half after it started and out of the 3 I wanted he only had 1 left. I was able to choose one more that I liked so I got two. One thing to note is that these trees are freshly collected, it is not advised to do anything with them other than put them in training pots for 1-2 years.

fourteener, I really like those! I am a sucker for bunjin. Also I really like the first one because of the natural Z shape in the trunk. I am working on getting that shape into one of my trees, but I know it will never look as natural as yours.

If only Texas weather was more compatible with ponderosa pine. Just looking at the raw trees is pretty fun.
