I repotted this little guy this year. I have taken the blooms off 3-4 times trying to allow it to focus it's energy on growth. Crepe Myrtle.

This Boug's got a good base, hope to make something out of it one day. I guess I need to get more aggressive on the pruning. Everytime I think it's got enough vigor for a good prunning it's starts pumping out flowers and I don't want to cut it then. Also it doesn't usually bifurcate very well or at all.

These are growing at a friend's house.
She swears that last year there were mullien and black eyed Susans growing here, and she hasn't planted anything. I thought they were a coneflower of some sort, but the leaves are soft and fuzzy like mullien. She's all but convinced herself they're some sort of hybrid.
Anyways, we tried multiple times with multiple people and apps, but could not get a solid identification. Whatever they are, I love them!

They are blackeyed susan Rudbeckia hirta.
There are many cultivars with a darker coloration around the center. I think they are short lived perennials. These could be self seeded if they looke different than last year's.
