Spring has finally begun to arrive in the Puget Sound area! The early spring Rhododendron has begun to bloom!

When we were stationed out there while I was in the Coast Guard the rhodies made my ex soooo angry. She couldn't wrap her head around the beautiful colors of the flowers contrasting to the cold and cloudy. She hated them for it.
I think it'd be way to hot in the summer here for them or I'd try them out.
Seems like mine surprises me when I least expect it. Buds look tightly closed, then I'll smell something nice and see a bloom opened up!

Yeah, I did three tours here, ship and shore, so afterwards when all the moving hither and yon was done we decided to settle down here.

Well I'm glad I got to see it. I fully understand why so many people feel it's god's own country. Though I personally don't know what I'd do without a sunburn every other week for three months.

They brighten up my very dull office. Plus being the only woman here with 9 guys, this place needs a feminine touch!!

No worries, I'm neither. We're all just co-workers/friends. They are a little bit protective, which is kind of nice.
I battled mealy bugs for months, I think I finally have them beat, although I lost a couple. So, I'm happy a few are blooming.
