Hi All,

Is there anyone from South Australia that might have advice around where to go to look for wild olives for collection?

I’ve read a bit about Willunga being a good location but don’t know any specifics.

I imagine one would need some kind of permission depending on the property.

Cheers,
Jimmy

Try Ausbonsai, Jimmy. There's probably more South Australian bonsai people watching there than here.

The Adelaide clubs seem to be able to get permits to 'remove weed species' from some of the parks but not sure which areas they go to.

Roadsides require permits from either state road authority or local council depending on the classification of road. Mian roads are owned by the State. Local roads are owned and maintained by local councils. It seems to be much easier to get permission for smaller, local roads.
Also try Landcare groups which may have programs to remove weed species from roads and/or public land. There's a Landcare group registered at Willunga. They may or may not be active though.
Private land is a bit harder to find the owner and get permission unless you know someone who knows someone.
