I'm pretty sure this is an "Eastern White Pine" but can anyone confirm? I've mostly been working with a couple of Juniper's but wanted to expand my trees, I recently added a variegated Jade too.

Today while walking through the forest I saw two of these little guys sprouting up (there were many) and pulled and potted them (I hope they continue to grow).

I don't plan on doing anything else to them other than pot them and let them grow for a while...thoughts/advice?

Still young, so hard to tell for certain, but yeah, looks like EWP to me.

Eastern white pine is supposed to be the only native pine in eastern North America with five needles, which makes them easy to ID.

yep, EWP.

Growing out is a good idea. It will take time to get a worthwhile trunk.
