I have 5 eastern white pine I planted 5 years ago before I was into bonsai the past 2 years I’ve been slowly pruning it shorter. It was planted a bit deep, and I want to dig it up in 2 years. I think I’ll have it cut back to the height I want, with several new branches starting to grow. My question is should I dig around it now to get the root ball smaller to safely dig it up in the next two years. It is now 3 feet tall and trunk is 4 inches across.
