OK friends, I am writing to you again about the desert rose. I am very worried. As expected it defoliated 100%... but the issue now is the fact that I am noticing a significant amount of decaying wood on one of the major trunks. I know this portion is rotting. I pruned off one of the limbs hoping it would recover after that, but now the whole piece is going. I am posting a picture. I have only watered the rose two times in like, three months but perhaps this is root rot. Again, this is in a basement apartment, with low light - but decent light. There seems to be adequate drainage. What are your thoughts? Is there any product I can apply? Where should I prune it off to keep it from spreading? Thank you so much.
