Hi,

I bought this desert rose late August and after 2 weeks it droped all leaves and now it's caux is so squishy and soft. I tried to water it but didn't change anything so repotted whole plant in new soil. Any idea how to save or recover it?

If I remember correctly, these are succulents and like to dry out thoroughly between waterings. What soil have you been using and what is your watering regimen?

If the caudex is soft and squishy, I'm afraid it's rotten and already dead. Sorry.

Watering when soil is completely dry.

At this point all you can do is cut above your red circle. Verify that its not rotted. Then dusting with cinnamon is popular and allow to dry for a month. then you can try rooting it again in loose media
