"Crack" Juniperus procumbens Question

Thank you everyone! Now that I know what they are and that I can keep them alive I will now bend, twist and continue on with them. I found that it takes 7 - 10 years for them to hit maturity so it will be cool to "play" :p

Sorry vin.. I must have just been skimming and missed that! Also, the "correlation between the two" part threw me off, I guess. It must be all thebrain cells I've killed in my day ;P
Please, there's no need to be sorry. I just used Eastern Red because Juniperus virginiana is a pain to type. :D

J. Crack for me.
Easier. More fun. More WTF.!

Wanna see up the skirt of a nice old clump?

I've got a J. virginiana showing superior growth/health. Folks tell me it'll be 40 years before you see adult foliage but I like needle junipers anyway. I've also been told that they don't like their roots disturbed but I can't say I've ever had issues. These were the very first trees I began hording and torturing. Nick Lenz writes in his book that they aren't worth the hassle but ... At the very least they are good practice and I've seen some amazing trunks around quarrys and fields. Plus they are insanely pliable so skies the limit if you've got some young ones
