Here is a Cork bark oak that I've been working on for several years now. The first picture of it is when it was just field dug and when I brought it home from a trip to Mendocino back in 2008.
The planting angle has been changed since the first potting and the main trunk has been cut twice now to induce both taper and movement. The main leader will be cut again next summer reducing it to about 18 inches in height.
