Contorted Camelia

To which do you refer?

Magnolia figo (michelia figo or used to be called magnolia fiscati), if so, I have one. It is a difficult species to grow as a bonsai, especially a small one, the branching is very coarse.

This one.

I got my first Camellia last year for Christmas, I now have 4 lol. My "Buttons and Bows" is blooming now.

Dam John. Its been so good seeing you post again. This site has been in need of your presence for a bit now, so not a moment too late!

Great tree here also. Contorted for sure. Pretty awesome to see where the base is now compared to the picture in post #23.

Thanks, I have be slowly able to improve it.

When are you coming back down south?

Hey @Mellow Mullet, did you groundlayer this one?
No, I didn't. Early on I had wanted to, but chickened out. It has its original nursery roots. I have been slowly working on them at each repot and they have improved somewhat.

Orange close (full flower)
