Colorado Spruce No. 1

I prefer the second picture as the front. But it depends on how far away the apex is leaning at that angle. I also like the nanban pot you posted earlier.
Ya I do tooo.. I also am considering jining and extending that and leaving the secondary as the new Alex .. the growth under the current would be left as it still has a branch below it. I do lie that nanban too or the light brown squareIMG_7949.jpegIMG_7951.jpeg

This is a very cool tree, I like it's "messiness", especially as a collected specimen. A great specimen to allow some weirdness as you've done. Great work!

I’m thinking of this 12” * 2 1/2 nanban , my plug can send it over to me asap, I’m just worried the tree won’t like it .. it’s finally back to good health and I think they like being pot bound w that being said I al
Losing some percolation . I wonder if the sedums are contributing to that .. maybe if I clean them up and just scrape the top and replenish w soil and poke holes .. hmmm

How vigorously did it bud this year vs previous years? If it is budding heavily, leave it be, if percolation is the only issue I would drill holes in the soil like you said, and check to make sure roots aren't clogging the drain holes.
