yea but not super hard.. probably not as hard as I could, dyna grow, which is what I use mostly, will burn the leaves if mix to heavy, but I give it fish and kelp mix and the oscomote has been applied twice now.

think I should step it up a notch?

I don't know a thing about the dynamic grow or osmocote.
I dump it on them though. Miracle grow. 5 scoops to 2 gallons per week. Elms sometimes twice. Have one getting it every other day. When mixed it's the same blue as antifreeze. Dark. And I let the trees get a little dry before applying. Right or wrong it works for me.
