I was working on this oak today and shot a picture. The height from the Dale Cochoy pot is 38 inches.
It was collected (legally) about 20 years ago in the California coastal hills near Monterey.
Height including the Dale Cochoy pot is 38 inches.

Beautiful tree. How come the dead limb has been left as a sawed off stub? Why not peel it back to a point that would look more natural with the bare wood running down the trunk?
